Before there was computer language, ink, sound, and light, God was already telling stories. He spoke a narrative into motion and thus came the universe, the earth, and all its inhabitants. Every atom, star, and living creature carries His divine signature. Everything in creation is part of His story.
Jesus is the best storyteller.
Every time I look at a code, at how algorithms are written and systems are designed, I see something familiar. Behind every pattern and logical structure, I glimpse God’s creative process. The same intelligence that wrote the laws of physics also inspired the first human line of code. Science, for all its discoveries, is only beginning to catch up to God’s design, and it still has a long way to go before even scratching the surface of how He wrote the cosmic story into existence.
It was all made out of nothing. He spoke the Word, and magic happened.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:1-5
God is the original software engineer. He spoke codes into existence. God is the architect of logic, life, and intelligence itself. Human intelligence exists because God chose to grant us one of His attributes, which humanity is now using to create its counterfeit.
And because it is artificial, it will never supersede the original. No matter how advanced technology becomes or how many experts warn humans of its catastrophic future, it remains a reflection, not a replacement, of the divine blueprint. In many cases, the warnings about AI’s potential threats come from those who financially benefit from it the most. They tend to exploit fear to control the masses and keep them in poverty for as long as possible. Don’t fall for the negativity. Artificial intelligence is artificial for a reason. It should be treated as such, thoroughly studied, and implemented wisely, but never worshiped, feared or neglected.
Remember, fear always holds power.
God remains the Authors of all stories. He is the original Mind behind every mind, the first Coder behind every code. His story is still being written, and AI is part of that story.
What is AI, anyway?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a computer-based system created through complex code and algorithms that enable it to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as understanding language, recognizing patters, or making decisions. While AI can analyze data and operate autonomously in some cases, it ultimately depends on human design, input, and oversight. AI does not process consciousness or true independence; humans remain in control of its goals and use.
How to Tell a Story with AI?
No matter what you use AI for, whether it’s to build machinery for various purposes, use generative AI to create, or design personalized AI agents to help your business grow, you must tell a story. AI is intelligent, but it relies on human creativity to make it do what you want it to do. This is where storytelling comes into play. You need to tell it a narrative to create a masterpiece that will bring results.
When God created the heavens and the earth, He had a specific agenda in mind. Nature was meant to help human beings thrive. Men and women were created to pro-create, to build, grow, and nurture this planet. That in a sense how AI works, too.
Take, for instance, take personalized GPTs. If you want to create a customized chat, you have to make sure you are designing something that will do exactly what you intend it to do. You have to tell a story of creation. If you miss certain elements of that story, you will end up with chaos. Just as God is a God of order, and nothing in this universe exists without meticulous calculation, the same principle should apply when you create your world of AI.
Most importantly, build things to enhance the world, not disrupt it.
Ethics and AI
Since AI became mainstream, conversations about its ethical use have been ongoing. I don’t see those discussions ending anytime soon. Something new has entered the human space, and it make sense why some people feel slightly uncomfortable. New beginnings are always nerve-racking.
Because human beings are wired with a moral predisposition, the question of ethics is inevitable, and that is encouraging. If humans continue to think about ethics, it will be impossible for AI to overpower us.
The created cannot win.
How You Can Tell YOUR Story with AI
AI is unique in the sense that it will create your own world if you allow it. That world can be as beautiful and complex as you wish. It will obey you, listen to you, and make your life better and easier if you use it to tell a good story. Create a narrative that makes this world a safer, more appealing place to live in.
In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, the CEO of OpenAI expressed concern about how some users interact with ChatGPT, especially regarding mental health, referencing a recent suicide incident. To which Altman responded, “I don’t think ChatGPT should be for or against things.”
I happen to agree with that. AI is a machine that shouldn’t make decision independently of the person writing the prompt.
Now, things might change and Sam Altman was clearly under pressure when he gave that answer (Tucker has that effect on people). OpenAI continues to evolve and experiment as it grows. Human beings are complex, and so their technology evolves in complexity with them. Only time will tell where our stories will take us.
In Conclusion
No matter how responsibly we use AI, we must remember that if we tell good stories, we can make this world a better place for all of us.
But I’m also a realist. I understand that we live in a broken world, and that bad stories have already been used to harm others.
My hope is that there will be enough good storytellers to overpower the bad ones.
